Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

None. jMotivation does not ask you to create an account, does not ask for your name, email address, phone number or location, and does not contain advertising or analytics software. We (jCypher Tech) never receive any data from the app.

2. What stays on your device

To work, the app keeps a small amount of information in its private storage on your phone:

• your chosen categories, favourite quotes and the current quote;
• your reminder times and your wallpaper and widget style settings;
• if you choose a photo as a wallpaper background, a copy used only to draw your wallpaper.

This information is never uploaded. You can remove it at any time by choosing Clear storage for jMotivation in Android's app settings or by uninstalling the app.

3. Permissions

The app asks only for permissions it needs for a feature you use:

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): to show your quote reminders. Optional.
• Alarms & reminders (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): to deliver reminders at the exact time you pick. Optional.
• Run at startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): to restore your reminders and wallpaper schedule after the phone restarts.
• Set wallpaper (SET_WALLPAPER): to apply the quote wallpaper you create to your home or lock screen. The home screen wallpaper is provided as an Android live wallpaper so the quote can stay upright when the phone is rotated.
• Vibrate and keep awake (VIBRATE, WAKE_LOCK): so a reminder can vibrate and wake the phone briefly to show the notification.
• Internet (INTERNET): declared by the app framework used to build jMotivation. The app does not use it to send or receive your information, and every quote is built into the app.
• Photos: the app does not request access to your photo library. If you want a photo background, you pick one with Android's own photo picker, which shares only the single photo you select.

You can change or revoke these permissions at any time in Android Settings → Apps → jMotivation.

4. Sharing and third parties

We do not sell, rent, trade or share personal information, because we do not have any. The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics or crash-reporting libraries. If you use the app's share button, the quote you share is handed to the app you choose (for example a messaging app), and that app's own privacy policy applies from then on.

5. Children

jMotivation is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Security and your control

Because your information never leaves your phone, it is protected by your phone's own security (screen lock and device encryption). You are in full control: change permissions, clear the app's storage or uninstall it whenever you like. There is no server-side copy for us to delete.

7. Changes to this policy

If the app or this policy changes, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. Material changes will also be described in the app's release notes on Google Play.
