When to come

How good each month usually is. Darker means better.

July and August: trips can be called off at short notice for monsoon weather. We refund in full.

Small boats, careful people

  • Life jackets for everyone

Including child sizes. Worn for the whole trip, not stored under a seat.

  • Licensed boatmen

Every boatman is from Satapada and has worked this lake for years.

  • Eight guests at most

So everyone gets a side of the boat and a clear view.

  • Engines off near dolphins

We drift the last stretch and never chase. The dolphins decide how close.
